Linear Systems

This new seminar prepares students for the Fault Diagnostics Systems (MechEng 8372) course by covering concepts in linear systems theory, such as state methods of analysis and design of linear dynamical systems, coordinate transformations and tools from advanced linear algebra, controllability and observability, Pole placement via state feedback, and state estimation for deterministic models, including observer design. Introduction to the optimal linear quadratic regulator problem.
